初代にあたるShovelhead期のSUPER GLIDE Ⅱがデビューした1982年から数え、もはやデビューから40 余年を迎えたH-Dビッグツインのスポーツモデル。1970年代までのヴィンテージモデルには成し得ず、現行機から消失して久しいその美質は、走行性能にこだわるH-D狂から再評価され、いまだ多くのフォロワーを創出。世界に点在する熱心な信奉者により独立したコミュニティが形成される。この特集では“Three-Point Rubber-Mounted Engine Frame”に魅せられたFXR-ISTとその愛機をクローズアップする。

It has been over 40 years since the first-generation Harley-Davidson Super Glide II, a Big Twin sports model, debuted during the Shovelhead era in 1982. Its rare aesthetic qualities and performance, which were distinct from anything produced up through the 1970s and which have since disappeared from Harley-Davidson models, have been rediscovered by Harley-Davidson fans who place priority on performance. The Super Glide II now has a dedicated worldwide community of followers, and its popularity continues to grow. In this feature, we take a closer look at some of the “FXR-ists” who have fallen in love with the FXR’s three-point rubber-mount frame and introduce you to their rides.

2025 H-D FXLRS LOWRIDERS 
YANIV EVEN / POWER PLANT

去る6月21～22日に開催されたBORN-FREE 16における H-D 枠 の Invited Builders には、Cait Bergeon / Jon Block / Mike Uriarte / Harley Drew / Heath Pinter / Hawke Lawshe / Yaniv Evan の７人が選出。中でも注目をさらったのは、本誌でもお馴染みPOWER PLANTのビルダーYaniv Evan が捻り上げた唯一無二のLOW RIDER Sだ! 

At Born-Free, held on June 21 and 22 this year, there were 7 Invited Builders in the Harley- Davidson category: Cait Bergeron, John Block, Mike Uriarte, Harley Drew, Heath Pinter, Hawke Lawshe, and Yaniv Evan. The bike that attracted the most attention was the Low Rider S custom created by Yaniv Evan of Power Plant, a builder who is no stranger to Riser.

Interview with a Vice President of Design & Creative Director of Motorcycles

H-D本社でVice President of Design & Creative Director of Motorcycles の役職を担うBrad Richards。今回は彼の協力のもと、ミルウォーキー郊外に位置するデザインセンターにてインタビューを敢行。同施設は本邦初公開だ!!

Brad Richards, the Vice President of Design & Creative Director of Motorcycles at Harley-Davidson, has been featured on the pages of Riser on multiple occasions. For this feature, he brought us into the Harley-Davidson design center, located in the Milwaukee suburbs. In addition to telling us a lot about the design process, he also gave us a tour of the facility, a first for anyone in the Japanese media!

Hajime Tai, a man who has put down roots in Pacifica, California, a town located to the south of San Francisco, was spotlighted in the “H-D For Life” feature of the previous issue of Riser. In this special serial column, which you can only read in Riser, this Japanese man, who is affectionately referred to as “Haj” by local Bay Area bikers, writes about his life experiences.

FANTIC × 46works 
Caballero 700 Scrambler Custom Project

欧州車をベースに、自信の美学を投影した独自性にあふれるカスタムビルドを手がける46worksの中嶋志朗。カフェレーサーであっても、スクランブラーであっても、手がける車両はひと目でそれとわかる独特の空気を放つ。今季中嶋はFanticのCaballero Scrambler700のカスタムに着手。今回はスタイルの肝となる燃料タンク製作をレポートする。

Shiro Nakajima of 46works specializes in building customs from European motorcycles that reflect his unique sense of aesthetics. Whether a cafe racer or a scrambler, every custom he builds exudes an original atmosphere that makes it instantly recognizable as one of his. Currently, Nakajima is in the process of building a custom from a Fantic Caballero Scrambler 700, and here, we report on the production of the fuel tank that lies at the heart of the bike’s style.
