In 1995, at the legendary Harvest Time custom show, Shinya Kimura of Zero Engineering took the top prize with his custom WL. His seminal “Zero style” of customization became famous throughout the Japanese custom scene and earned him a diehard following. Now, 30 years later, he has set up Chabott Engineering in the US and become one of the world’s leading custom builders. In this special feature, Kimura introduces you to his latest build, “Old Gold,” and the concepts that went into it.

On the top of a hill, in a castle covered in ivy lives a man with a prosthetic leg who cohabitates with the wild animals of the surrounding area. It is often said that “reality is stranger than fiction,” and the life of this man has been a drama to which no fiction comes close.

PARTY AT THE PEN

刑務所=PENITENTIARYの跡地で行う前代未聞のバイカーパーティ、その名もPARTY AT THE PEN!! まだ残暑が残る9月7~8日、Idahoの街Boiseのダウンタウンに程近い刑務所の跡地を舞台とするクールなバイクショーが開催された。

Party at the Pen is the first bike party held at a former penitentiary. The cool show took place in the lingering summer heat on September 7 and 8 in a former prison located in downtown Boise Idaho.

VMRS is a leading swap meet that transcends the boundaries between stock bikes and choppers, attracting vintage freaks from around the country. The event was lively as usual and filled with collectors hoping to salvage some treasure.
