神社仏閣 HONDAISM

名実ともに世界の二輪ブランドのトップに君臨するHONDA。創造性を打ち出しながら、常にスピードへの挑戦を続けてきた歴史。そんな歩みの中で、国内外のヴィンテージフリークたちを惹きつけてやまないモデル。それが「神社仏閣」と呼ばれる1950年代後半に誕生した2気筒シリーズである。本田宗一郎の肝入りで誕生したと言われる神社仏閣シリーズは、 それまでの二輪車の常識を覆す独創的なデザインで知られている。本稿ではその誕生の背景から、シリーズに魅せられた旧車狂たちをフォーカスする。

In name and in reality, Honda is the world’s top motorcycle brand and has a history of constantly pursuing speed and employing creative approaches. One series of models produced during this history has particularly captivated vintage freaks from around the world: the so-called “Jinja Bukkaku” (a name signifying the embodiment of traditional Japanese design) 2-cylinder C/CS series created in the late 1950s. The series, developed under Soichiro Honda, is known for having a creative design that overturned the common conception of what motorcycles could be. In this special feature, we look at the historical context of the birth of this series and focus on some of the vintage fanatics who have fallen in love with it.

This grandiose vast continent, once ruled by nothing or nobody, not even the indigenes tribes. Beautiful with many faces is an utter understatement to describe this land once only housed the indigenes tribes across America.

AMCA YARBA BUENA WINE COUNTRY 
NATIONAL ROAD RUN 2024

カリフォルニア州北部にあるワインの名産地Napa Valley。その西を通るルート101沿いのCloverdaleで開催されたナショナルロードラン。SFを拠点とするAMCA Yarba Buena支部がホストを務めた。

Napa Valley is Northern California’s wine country, and to the west of Napa Valley on Route 101, in a town called Cloverdale, an AMCA National Road Run was held. The Yarba Buena Chapter, which is based out of San Francisco, hosted the event.
