For the past 15 years, ROLLER MAGAZINE has documented vintage motor culture around the world, with American motorcycles at the heart of its coverage. To mark its 15th anniversary in 2026, ROLLER presents THE CONTINENT — Vintage European Motor Culture, a special edition dedicated to Europe's rich motorcycling heritage and the cultures surrounding it.

The foundation of this book is an extensive archive built over 15 years of reporting, travel, and photography. From legendary European motorcycles by Vincent, Triumph, BSA, and BMW to the steel-bodied scooters of Vespa and Lambretta, and iconic names such as Lewis Leathers, whose products have become part of the fabric of motorcycle culture and its associated subcultures. Drawing on some of the finest material from ROLLER's back issues, THE CONTINENT brings these stories together with new features, fresh photography, and a renewed perspective.

European motor culture has much in common with its American counterpart, but its approach to engineering, design, and style is distinctly its own. Britain's long-standing motorcycle traditions. Germany's dedication to precision engineering. Italy's vibrant scooter culture, deeply rooted in everyday life. Each has developed its own identity, shaped by local history, culture, and generations of craftsmanship. THE CONTINENT brings these different traditions together in a single volume.

But this is far more than a collection of vintage motorcycles and classic products.
