In what ways have scooterists spent their lives with their rides? Even though they share a love of scooters, scooter owners have a variety of lifestyles. Those who seek the essence of scooters may ride a succession of different models. Others devote themselves to customization and tuning to create a scooter that suits their individual style. There are also those who keep the same ride for many years. In this feature, we focus on riders who have been riding the same scooters for over a quarter century and ask them about the feeling they have toward the rides they have spent more than 25 years with.

オリジナルを重視するスタイルから、MODスタイル、スポーツチューンまで世界各地のLambrettaフリークたちは自身の世界観を投影するカスタムを楽しんでいる。英国在住のフォトグラファー、Tim Scottもそのひとりだ。上質なペイントとツボを押さえたモディファイによって、エレガントな佇まいを見せるこのSX200 “Superleggera”は、彼が愛してやまないヒストリックカーへのオマージュ。車体のすべてが見所と言って良いほどの完成度を見せる至極の1台をご覧あれ。

Lambretta lovers around the world often customize their machines (in the mod style, with sporty tuning, or by focusing on maintaining the scooter’s original character) to reflect their personalities. One of them, the UK-based photographer Tim Scott, has customized his SX200, named “Superleggera,” with a top-quality finish and precise modifications in an homage to a classic car he is particularly fond of. The exquisite scooter is so well crafted that every part is a highlight.

These timeless gems are technological heritage that should be passed down for generations to come. This edition of “Timeless Gems” features a Mitsubishi Silver Pigeon C111, a machine that, along with the Fuji Rabbit, was one of Japan’s leading domestically produced scooters.

Tour di Shizuoka Scooter Italiano

 2024年9月、静岡でイタリアンスクーターを対象にしたミーティングが開催された。“Tour di Shizuoka Scooter Italiano”と名付けられたイベントは、静岡在住のVespaフリークとして知られる川島氏が主催したもの。

In September 2024 a gathering for Italian scooter owners was held in Shizuoka. Named “Tour di Shizuoka Scooter Italiano,” the event was organized by Kawashima, a well-known Vespa enthusiast who lives in Shizuoka.

SIP Vespa Roadtrip Thailand

ヴィンテージモデルから最新モデルまで、Vespaに関するあらゆるカスタムパーツをリリースするトップブランドSIP。CEOも開発スタッフも全員が生粋のVespaフリークという彼らは2025年の年明けにタイ・バンコクへ向かった。その目的はヴィンテージVespaでのツーリングだった。

Early Rabbit Meeting

Fuji Rabbitシリーズを愛する鉄スクーターフリークたちによって、首都圏で不定期にて開催されているアーリーラビットミーティング。東京や埼玉、神奈川など、これまで各地のメンバーたちが持ち回りでイベントを開催してきたが、2024年10月に開催されたひさびさの東京ラウンドでは、大規模なナイトツーリングを敢行した。

The Early Rabbit Meeting is an irregularly scheduled gathering for Fuji Rabbit lovers held in the Tokyo area. The event is held at different locations in the region, including Tokyo, Saitama, and Kanagawa. The most recent gathering, which was held in October 2024, took place in Tokyo for the first time in a while, and participants went on a big night tour of the city.
