昨年末のHOT ROD SHOWで話題を呼んだ1台のカスタムH-Dが、春の陽気に包まれた平日の筑波サーキットに運び込まれた。H-DとJOYRIDEによる“LOW RIDER ST RACER PROJECT”。前代未聞のFXLRSTがアスファルトトラックでその全貌を露わにする。

A custom Harley-Davidson that created a lot of buzz at the Hot Rod Custom Show held at the end of last year was brought to Tsukuba Circuit on a weekday, in beautiful spring weather. There, the FXLRST custom, created as Harley-Davidson and Joyride’s “Low Rider ST Racer Project,” revealed its full potential on the asphalt.

去る1月下旬に伊国ベローナで開催されたMOTOR BIKE EXPO 2025。そこで注目を集めたのがINDIAN MOTORCYCLEのカスタムコンクール“FIRST 6”だ。欧州に点在する6軒のディーラーが、今季よりお目見えしたSPORT CHIEF RTをベースに、6 週間という限定された時間内でカスタムを捻り上げ、来場者に人気投票を敢行。INDIANが誇るニューモ デルの潜在能力とカスタムの無限の可能性を、世界中のバイクフリークに提示したのである。

The Motor Bike Expo 2025 was held at the end of January in Verona, Italy. At the event, Indian Motorcycle’s First 6 custom motorcycle exhibition attracted a lot of attention. 6 European Indian dealers used the Sport Chief RT that recently debuted as a base and created custom machines within a 6-week time limit, and visitors to the expo voted on their favorite bike. With the First 6 customs, Indian demonstrated the infinite potential for customization of its new model to bike freaks around the world.

BMW MOTORRAD / THE NEW GENERATION OF THE R 18 SERIES

BMW Motorrad史上、最大排気量となるBigBoxerエンジンを抱くヘリテイジクルーザーR 18シリーズがデビューしたのは2021年のことだった。それから4年、R 18は、徐々にバリエーションを増やしながら、よりエクスクルーシヴに、よりモダンに進化を遂げてきた。そして2025年、R 18シリーズがさらなるアップデートを敢行した。数多くのブランドがエンジンの水冷化に踏み切るなか、その卓越したテクノロジーによって空油冷OHVボクサーエンジンの火を灯し続けるBMW Motorrad。R 18シリーズは、100余年に及ぶBMWの歴史の生き証人にほかならない。

In 2021, the R 18 series debuted. The bikes in the series came equipped with the largest Big Boxer engine in BMW Motorrad’s history. Over the next four years, the variety within the series gradually increased, including the addition of more exclusive and more modern models. The R 18 series has received another update for 2025; however, although numerous brands have shifted to using water-cooled engines, BMW Motorrad has continued pouring its outstanding technology into keeping the air/oil-cooled OHV boxer engine alive and well. The R 18 series is nothing short of a testament to BMW’s 100-year history.
