Vans × RIPPER / Collaboration Shoes Ver.2 <RED>

第二弾シューズを作るにあたり、膨大なVansのアーカイヴからべースとして引っ張り出したのは『Medalion』というモデル。その名が示すとおりウィングチップやステッチなど、フォーマルなレザーシューズに見られるディテールを備えた個性的なモデルであるが、そこにRipperらしい野暮ったさをプラスしたのが今回のコラボの特徴だ。アッパーはスウェードとキャンバスの切り返し。トゥ部分には同色でフレイムスの刺繍を採用しワイルド感を演出した。また素材の切り返し部分に山型の刻みを入れたのは今回のハイライトといえるだろう。

When we were making the second pair, as the base we pulled out a model called Medalion from the enormous VANS archive. Like the name says, it is a unique model with details you see on formal leather shoes like a wingtip and stitching. And for this collab, we added some RIPPER-style roughness. The upper combines blocks of suede and canvas. We added embroidered flames in the same color on the toe for a wild look. And the highlight this time is a zigzag line where the suede meets the canvas. The pair comes in two colors.
