INDIAN FTR 1200S "CHEETAH'S FLAT TRACKER"
日本のINDIAN総代理店を務めるポラリスジャパンとCHEETAH CUSTOM CYCLES 大沢俊之によって、現在進行中のFTR1200Sプ ロジェクト。
2016年に誕生したINDIANのワークスレーサー、FTR750をルーツとするマシンだけに、大沢に託されたのは外観のカスタムだけでなく、レースバイクへのモディファイだ。
国内外のフラットトラックレースを経験する大沢がFTR1200Sをカスタムし、走行を重ねて感じたダートバイクとしての可能性とは―。
Polaris Japan, Indian’s representative in Japan, and Toshiyuki Osawa from Cheetah Custom Cycles are currently working on a FTR1200S project together.
The machine shares roots with the Indian works racer FTR750 and as well as a custom exterior, Osawa also modified it into a racing bike.
Osawa has experience with flat track racing both in Japan and overseas and we are curious to find out what he felt the possibilities of the FTR1200S as a dirt bike were when he worked on the custom and rode it.
KING OF THE BAGGERS
バットウィングカウルに巨大なサイドケースを付けたマシン。
そう、このいまにもライダーの肘が路面にタッチしそうなほど深いバンク角でコーナーを駆けているのは、Vツインエンジンを搭載したバガーモデルだ。
ツーリングバイクでサーキット !? という、アッと驚く新しいロードレースがいま、アメリカで大人気になっている。そのレースの名前は「KING OF THE BAGGERS 」。
ここでは、そのレースについて細かく解説していく。
