　2021年秋、ROLLER MAGAZINEはおかげさまで10周年を迎えることができました。2011年10月31日の創刊以来、年4回というペースで号を重ね、2021年夏に40号を刊行。その合間の2013年7月25日には“斬捨御免 / Old School Choppers Only”を指針とする姉妹誌RIPPER MAGAZINEが派生し、年２回というスローペースながら17冊をリリースしました。ただバックナンバーはすでに絶版も多く入手困難な状況でしたが、この節目に一念発起。全てのROLLER / RIPPERを見直し、特に後世に伝えたいと願うコンテンツを選出。さらに　ここでしかみられないスペシャルな3台の撮り下ろし加え再編集したのがYESTERDAZEです。私たちが歩んだ10年の軌跡を総括するこのドキュメントは、新たな読者や海外のフリークにも手に取って欲しいROLLER / RIPPERのThe Best of Selectionです。 

かねてよりお寄せ頂いたリクエストの中でも、特にご要望の多かった創刊号の巻頭特集「OFF STAGE ON GARAGE /  長瀬智也」は、オリジナルアーティクルをそのまま掲載。さらにYESTERDAZEの出版を祝し寄せられた長瀬智也氏の直筆メッセージも合わせて紹介します。

　In fall 2021, thanks to you all ROLLER MAGAZINE celebrates its 10th anniversary. Since its foundation on 31 October, 2011, we have published 4 times a year and in summer 2021 released our 40th issue. On 25 July, 2013, our sister magazine with the motto “No Mercy / Old School Choppers Only” - RIPPER MAGAZINE was born and we have released 17 issues at a slow pace of 2 issues per year. But many of our back numbers are out of stock and it is difficult to get them, which is why on this occasion we made up our minds to read through all the past ROLLER and RIPPER issues and hand-pick content. YESTERDAZE is a compilation of that with new special photographs of 3 bikes added. This archive sums up what we have done for the past 10 years. It is the best of selection we hope our new readers and international freaks will enjoy as well.

　Out of all the requests we have been getting for some time, the biggest number of them was for the opening feature of our first issue “OFF STAGE ON GARAGE / Tomoya Nagase.” And so we publish the original article in full with a hand-written message Tomoya Nagase sent us to congratulate the release of YESTERDAZE.

　And, you must see the gorgeous cover with detailed gold foil lettering by the fierce genius HOODOOMAN! We hope that as well as vintage bike freaks, those who are interested in contemporary bike culture and American culture will also enjoy this large picture book. This archive is a collector’s edition the ROLLER and RIPPER crew poured all our energy into creating.
